Department: Occupational Therapy Pay: DOE Hours: Part Time (0.8 FTE), Days Location: Hospital Main Campus (Please be advised that eligible occupational therapists and physical therapists will be considered for this position) Provide individualized services to patients (infants and young children, birth to 5 yrs old) to improve occupational performance and collaborate with families and treatment teams to improve functional outcomes for the patient. Services of infants birth to 12 months in NICU, inpatinet floors, and outpatients include: evaluation, treatment, parent training, discharge planning and follow-up, extensive focus on feeding, swallowing, breastfeeding and lactation, neurodevelopmental and neurobehavioral emphasis, positioning and splinting and coordination/communication with medical team. Requires: Bachelors Degree in occupational therapy from accredited university, current Washington State license to practice as an occupational therapist and one year experience working in pediatrics (birth to 5 years old). Prefers: Experience working in NICU; able to meet requirements for NICU competencies from the AOTA, Masters Degree in occupational therapy, experience in evaluation and treatment of feeding/swallowing problems in infancy and 3-5 years experience working in pediatrics (birth to 5 years old).
