We are currently seeking a Director of Psychiatric Inpatient Emergency Services
Position Responsibilities
The Emergency Services Department at Holly Hill
Hospital provides crisis, assessment and admission services 24 hours a
day, seven days a week and serves as the central hub of the hospital's
inpatient psychiatric admissions.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this management
position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day
activities of the department to enhance efficiency and customer service
which includes crisis calls triage, face to face assessments, patient
admissions, reception and security coverage. The position will supervise
a talented, dedicated team of employees and will ensure best practices
are used in the admissions process for patients coming into the
hospital. This position will also ensure the engagement of family
members, referrals sources, services providers and the patients in
pre-admissions discharge planning.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience in operations management, customer service,
excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to multi
task in a fast paced environment. Pro-active management skills and
working with a multidisciplinary team is a must.
Skills / Requirements
Registered Nurse preferred and/or Master's degree
in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a related field
from an accredited college or university.
LCSW, LPC, LPA or LMFT or active provisional license required
Two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute
psychiatric setting with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting
including customer contact.
Thorough knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
