Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for assessing, planning and implementing the delivery of care; and with the approval of the patient, sets reasonable and measurable goals within a specific time frame. This professional occupational therapist assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

Education:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Master's Degree

Experience:
  • Minimum: 0 - 1 years
  • Preferred: 2-4 years

Licenser/Certification/Registration:
NJ State OTOH License (will consider those licensed in other state's with reciprocity)

License or certification preferred for this job: CPR

Specialized Skills:
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform diversified duties within time limitations with a high degree of accuracy

Organizational skills including:
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to float as requested by super/mgr.
  • Able to lead and manage a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in clinical interviewing

Preferred knowledge and skills
  • Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills.
  • Membership/participation in professional organizations.
