The Pines Residential Treatment Centers have been helping children and
adolescents overcome a variety of difficulties in a therapeutic, safe
and structured residential environment. We offer several distinct
residential programs for youth ages 5 to 21 and have emerged as one of
the largest and strongest treatment organizations for behaviorally
disordered youth. Specifically, Licensed or license eligible Therapists
are needed to work with adolescents at our
Brighton Campus- Residential Treatment Facility located next
to downtown Portsmouth, VA.
The Brighton Campus offer services for male adolescents ages 5-21 years. The progams that are
offered to our residents at Brighton are:
- The Behavioral Studies Program for
Boys - youth with a history of sexually abusive behaviors
- Project Right Track - males with a
history of sexually abusive behaviors with an IQ between 55-69.
- Cooperative Living Program for Boys
- youth with behavioral and psychiatric diagnoses with an IQ between
55-69
As a Therapist, you will facilitate individual, group, and family
therapy focusing on decreasing aggression and improving impulse control
and frustration tolerance within the resident's family and peer
relationships. Critical to this position is coordination of the
aftercare support services and providers for the residents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified candidates must possess a Master's Degree
and Licensure in VA (LCSW or LPC). Two or more years clinical experience
working with high risk children or adolescents and Substance Abuse /
Chemical Dependency experience preferred. Will consider candidates
eligible for licensure within 6 months of first day of employment.
