Physical Therapist | Rady Children's Hospital | San Diego, CA
This is a casual position with an approximate end date of 06/30/2011.
Position supports a grant funded community program providing Physical
Therapy services for mild to moderatly involved children within the
South Bay community setting. Travel will be required within the
community.

Independently evaluates the movement ability of patients through the
administration, interpretation of standardized tests, clinical
observation and patient/family interview. Creates individualized
treatment plans and home exercise programs and provides patient/family
training. Develops and implements innovative and specific treatment
plans to maximize the patient's functional potential or return to
previous level of functioning, based on clinical findings. Consults with
medical team and allied health professionals and documents all pertinent
clinical findings to render a comprehensive, family-based or individual
intervention plan.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Physical Therapy. Bachelor's degree is acceptable, if
graduated prior to 2000.
California license in Physical Therapy eligible
Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking
skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented
decisions within the context of patient care and department, division
and organizational priorities.
Current CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association or Red
Cross provider).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
Specialty certification in pediatrics or orthopedics
Two years pediatric or orthopedic experience
